Jon hears a series of screeches.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A horde of wights barrels down the street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red Keep is too far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Move! To Aegon\u2019s Hill! Now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The soldiers sprint.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wights tackle the men, stabbing them to death.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another horde of wights floods down an adjacent street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wights collide with the column and take out men on all sides. Jon runs while hacking down any animated corpse. They shatter with the touch of Jon’s Valyrian steel sword.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW (CONT\u2019D)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Follow me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He veers down an adjacent street. Some soldiers behind Jon escape the threat. Others aren\u2019t so lucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon, Davos, Jorah, Beric, and Melisandre race toward the Red Keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – GATE – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jon pounds on the gate. Only a hundred men made it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let us in!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gate swings open to reveal…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…Varys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon and his men to rush in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INT. RED KEEP \u2013 COURTYARD \u2013 DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Northmen slam the gate behind them. Jon immediately gets his men into defensive positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Man the walls. We can\u2019t let any of them get in. This is the last stand!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melisandre and Beric command the remaining soldiers of the Fiery Hand as Jorah and Davos command the crenelations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drogon and Rhaegal land in the courtyard. Daenerys goes to Jon. They embrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve lost.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varys approaches.

It appears that Cersei has placed caches of wildfire throughout the city. I believe we still have a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you saying?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varys motions to the two fire-breathing dragons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VARYS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If we ignite the wildfire, then we can take out the dead in one strike. The war may not yet be lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAENERYS TARGARYEN
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You mean to use my dragons to destroy the city?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VARYS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You cannot be serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW

He\u2019s right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. Thousands of people still live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Come with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon leads Daenerys up the stairs to the outer wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two look upon the destruction: wights flood every major street. They tear through civilians and soldiers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White Walkers raise the dead. The Night King rides Viserion and blasts open the city walls so more dead may enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW (CONT\u2019D) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The city is lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAENERYS TARGARYEN <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We can save it. People are still alive. Women… children…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every second we stand here, the Night King adds more soldiers to his army. If we stay and fight, we will lose and be turned. If we retreat, everyone here will be turned. We have no choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys takes a hard look at the city she has dreamt of her entire life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAENERYS TARGARYEN <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I will be worse than my father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s better to die free than live a slave.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unseen, Bran watches Jon and Daenerys from the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – THRONE ROOM – DAY – VISION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bran stands next to the Iron Throne. The Mad King shouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AERYS TARGARYEN <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Burn them all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – COURTYARD – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bran watches. Daenerys looks to Jon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAENERYS TARGARYEN <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Burn them all?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aye, burn them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon takes Daenerys\u2019 hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RIVER – DAY – VISION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bran watches RHAEGAR TARGARYEN and Lyanna Stark join hands. A silk ribbon is wrapped around their hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRANDON STARK (V.O.) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They started a war for love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhaegar and Lyanna kiss on their wedding day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – COURTYARD – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jon and Daenerys kiss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRANDON STARK (V.O.) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They ended one for love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon watches Daenerys mount Drogon. Daenerys takes off. Rhaegal follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon turns to his soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Everyone get inside the Red Keep. Now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon turns to catch one last glimpse of Daenerys as the doors close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – SKY – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys glides over the streets. She looks down as innocents are slaughtered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With tears in her eyes, Daenerys commands Drogon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DAENERYS TARGARYEN <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

     (resigned)
Dracarys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An enormous column of flame erupts from Drogon\u2019s jaws. It slams into the streets, igniting the wildfire urns hidden below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – STREETS – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A massive green explosion. Wildfire engulfs the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhaegal unleashes his breath and ignites more wildfire caches, creating a larger explosion. Wights and humans alike are vaporized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countless lives end in an instant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – SKY – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drogon and Rhaegal set off cache after cache of the deadly explosive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A chain reaction is set off. Explosions ripple up the streets destroying everything in their path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys hovers above the city and watches the destruction. Daenerys flies back toward the Red Keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Night King follows her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – THRONE ROOM – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jon enters with a few dozen men. A ragtag group of Unsullied, Northerners, and Fiery Hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon takes in the sight. He walks to the Iron Throne as the men spread throughout the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He climbs the steps to the jagged structure. Blood pools at the base of the throne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon touches one of the swords of the most powerful seat in Westeros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Daenerys approaches the Red Keep, Viserion blasts at Drogon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dany veers. The icy blast hits the Red Keep\u2019s ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – THRONE ROOM – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A chunk of ceiling falls, crushing men below. Blue flame bursts through the roof. The walls collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Get out! Now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Debris crashes into fleeing men. A massive chunk SMASHES into the Iron Throne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys speeds toward Blackwater Bay, drawing the Night King away from the Red Keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. GREYJOY SHIP – DECK – SAILING – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Theon clashes with Euron\u2019s men. He parries with enemy Ironborn. Theon and Harrag finish off their attackers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon sees the kraken\u2019s tentacles smash ships on both sides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Silence<\/em>, Euron shouts to the sky and the sea monster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Silence\u2019<\/em>s bow, Theon sees her: Yara.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon leaps into the bay and swims toward Euron\u2019s ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – SKY – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys dodges Viserion\u2019s fiery attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the winds pick up, Daenerys feels herself losing control of Drogon. The Night King loses control of Viserion. The two dragons fly clumsily as they hurtle toward…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. THE SILENCE – DECK – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Euron watches as Drogon and Viserion are forced to fly toward the Silence<\/em>. All eight of the kraken\u2019s tentacles surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The long appendages grab the two dragons mid-flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tentacles latch on to Drogon, holding him. The tentacles slither around Drogon. He SCREECHES in pain. A tentacle strangles him. He tries to breathe fire, but the grip is too strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viserion is equally trapped in the kraken\u2019s grasp. The Night King tries to use Dawn to cut the kraken\u2019s puckered tentacles, but the flesh is too strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the dragons struggle, Theon climbs aboard the Silence<\/em>. Mouth bloodied, Euron looks at the dragons in amazement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EURON GREYJOY
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Looks like the dragon queen and the undead fuck aren\u2019t so powerful after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euron raises his hands. The kraken squeezes even harder. Daenerys pounds on the kraken\u2019s tentacles to no avail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Euron is distracted by the dragons, Theon heads to the bow. He unties Yara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon releases Yara. He lets her down gently on the deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EURON GREYJOY (CONT\u2019D) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your dragons will become mine. You will become mine. Everything will become mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euron is tackled \u2013- by Theon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EURON GREYJOY (CONT\u2019D) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Little Theon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon punches Euron. Euron shows no sign of pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euron leaps up and returns the favor, hitting Theon in the gut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon falls. He looks up as a massive tentacle crashes down toward him. Theon rolls as the kraken smashes the deck, fracturing the hull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yara regains consciousness. She sees her bloody wounds. She sucks her own blood and swallows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She watches as Theon and Euron fight while the dragons struggle for freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yara shouts at the beast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YARA GREYJOY
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Back to the Drowned God with you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kraken releases its grip on the dragons. Drogon blasts fire, igniting the Silence\u2019s <\/em>sails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drogon and Viserion fly back toward the city.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Euron kneels over Theon, punching him repeatedly in the face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of the kraken\u2019s tentacles grab Euron, lifting him high into the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EURON GREYJOY <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Release me! Let me go! Let me\u2013- [go!]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kraken rips Euron in half. His entrails fly into the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yara faints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bloodied Theon looks around as fire engulfs the Silence<\/em>. Yara sits slumped, unconscious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kraken emerges from the water, its bulbous head enormous against the ship\u2019s sails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It opens its mouth wide to consume the Silence<\/em>. With blade in hand, Theon leaps onto the kraken, stabbing it in the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kraken lets out a great screech and retreats into the safety of the water, pulling Theon down with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. BLACKWATER BAY – OCEAN – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

UNDERWATER, Theon drives his blade further and further into the heart of the kraken as it dives deeper into the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creature loses its strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theon looks up to the surface. He knows he won\u2019t make it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He closes his eyes. For the first time in his life, Theon is at peace. He knows who he is. He lets go of his strength and breathes in a mouthful of seawater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His body releases its hold on life as Theon becomes one with the Drowned God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. RED KEEP – COURTYARD – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jon and the remaining survivors race out as the Red Keep collapses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone runs to the walls to view the sprawling city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streets erupt in green flame as thousands of wights and White Walkers are vaporized in an instant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chain reaction spreads wildly in every direction. A series of explosions make their way toward the Red Keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Everyone retreat! Take cover!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosions ripple back and forth as they detonate closer and closer to the Red Keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Jon climbs down from the walls, Rhaegal swoops down from above and lands in the middle of the courtyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As spurred by instinct, Jon leaps on Rhaegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW (CONT\u2019D)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Get on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davos, Beric, and Melisandre all climb aboard the green beast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhaegal jumps up high and flaps his wings. He flies away from the Red Keep as the explosions breach the walls of the castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosions stop just before they reach the keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhaegal glides through the sky as wildfire explosions boom throughout the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – SKY – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drogon and Viserion weave in and out of the green blasts that emanate from beneath the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Daenerys and the Night King fly over the Dragonpit, a colossal burst of wildfire erupts from beneath the ground, obscuring Drogon and Viserion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moments later, the two dragons tumble out of the explosion, their wings on fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two dragons scream as they lose control of their flight and altitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dragons spiral toward the ground, their wings charred and broken. Daenerys hangs on tightly to Drogon as the world spins and falls around her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two dragons fall hard onto the fields outside the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. KING\u2019S LANDING – SKY – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Atop Rhaegal, Jon sees Daenerys\u2019 great fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW
<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Down, down!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhaegal lets out a mighty roar and dives toward his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. FIELD OUTSIDE KING\u2019S LANDING – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drogon is still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His body does not rise and fall with his breath. He does not move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daenerys lifts and unravels herself from Drogon\u2019s broken wing, which has protected her from the great plummet. She falls off Drogon and collapses hard to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She picks herself up and realizes that she is not alone. Viserion stares wildly at his former mother as he sits perched on the ground. The Night King sits perfectly poised on top of the undead creature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without thinking, Daenerys reaches out a hand to touch her child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viserion opens his jaws wide and blasts Daenerys with blue death. The flames engulf Daenerys, obscuring her from the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The onslaught of flame continues for several seconds before stopping abruptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Night King looks at the ground. He flies off into the horizon on Viserion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several feet away Jon lands Rhaegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JON SNOW<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon collapses to his knees. He looks down with dread upon Daenerys\u2019 disfigured corpse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is cold and icy, frozen to the bone. Icicles cover her eyelids and extend from her exposed skin. A look of fear and suffering cements itself on her still face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon reaches out a hand to touch her cheek. His fingers burn with the extreme cold, but he doesn\u2019t care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon holds her in his lap, not knowing what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire in Daenerys Targaryen has gone out. She burns no more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A raven flies overhead. Its eyes white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXT. THE ISLE OF FACES – DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bran\u2019s eyes jolt open, blood oozing from his sockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRANDON STARK<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUT TO BLACK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
